E.I.A. Rack Cases

Our rack cases are built to meet the Electronic Industries Alliance EIA-310 specification for "Cabinets, Racks, Panels, And Associated Equipment". Designed to the same exacting specifications as our other case products, Flight Form racks are available in many configurations. From standard hard-mount racks, to foam-lined shock mount ISOlation racks, to mixertop racks, to customized solutions, we can make a rack that will protect your valuable electronics.

Rackmount cases provide convenient ease of use for 19" rack equipment. Standard hard-mount and shock-mount racks feature removable front and rear covers that provide full access to controls and connections without requiring that the equipment be removed from the case before use. Whether you are moving musical gear or high-end testing equipment, our rackmount cases provide an excellent mobility solution without sacrificing accessibility to the equipment.

In hard-mount racks, our pre-tapped rack rails are mounted directly to the case shell wall. While this is the most compact and economical arrangement, greater protection can be attained with the addition of shock mounting. Shock mounted racks have the rails mounted to a 1/2" thick internal rack box which is then surrounded by foam. Unlike other companies that bolt the internal box in place, thereby creating a ‘shock transference point’, our precision-built shock boxes are compression fitted into the case shell. This ensures that your valuable equipment receives the best possible protection during the rigors of travel.

Mixertop racks are another popular option. In addition to standard removable front and rear covers, which allow full access to rackmount equipment in the lower portion of the case, mixertop racks also feature a removable top cover which protects rackmount mixing consoles. With everything installed into a single case, setup times are dramatically improved. Ideal for small-venue front-of-house, monitor rigs, and mobile recording rigs, Flight Form Mixertop racks can be customized to meet virtually any requirement.
